GROUPS

Groups are designed to help students build self-confidence, learn social skills and cope with the changes around them. We meet once a week for a period of 6 to 8 weeks. Groups are designed for 3rd through 12th grades. If there is a need in the earlier years, I will meet with them on an individual basis. Throughout the year I host groups for students that may need support in the following areas.

FAMILY TREE - This group is designed to help students deal with the challenge of their changing family dynamics. This group is for students whose  parents have recently gotten a divorce or are in the process of getting a divorce.

GOOD GRIEF - A loss group is a great way to empower students with hope and coping strategies in dealing with their losses. It also helps to alleviate the isolated feeling when students are grieving.

CLUB USA - This group is designed to help students that may have close relatives that have been deployed out of the USA.

Groovy Girls - This group helps girls know how to live in a girls world, Learning to accept who they are. They learn to be respectful of others, not to gossip or spread rumors, and how to handle it if someone treats them with disrespect.

Choose, Don't Lose - This group will be for students that need to make better choices.
