Procedures

Procedures are in place to help the class run smoothly.

They are everyday tasks and if we all do them the same way and know what to expect, our classroom will get a lot more accomplished and we will be more successful.

Morning Procedure

Greet Mrs. Terry at the door with a hand shake, eye contact, and say “good morning”.

Put your backpacks and coats in your cubby.

Sharpen your pencils if needed. Make sure you  have two #2 pencils on your desk and two AR books as well. This is having your desk “ready to work”.

Pencil sharpening and storing your items in a cubby needs to be done by the time the bell rings.

The bell rings at late bell rings at 8:20 am. If a student arrives after the bell has been rung, they are considered tardy.

Please place homework in the homework basket before the bell rings. If your homework is not turned in by the bell, it will receive a late grade.

Mrs. Terry will call role. Please answer back with “tray” or “brought” so that we can take care of lunch count as well.

Pledge and character word of the month.

From 8:10 to 8:30 everyday we will fill in planners and work on math boxes. If you have completed this task by 8:30, you will receive a penny.

Talking is NOT permitted in the hallways.

We must respect our fellow school mates and not disrupt other classes.

We will walk in two single file lines. One boy line, and one girl line.

We will line up quietly and walk quietly. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Restroom

Restroom breaks are for emergencies only.

Raise your hand and ask politely “May I use the restroom please?” and I will allow you to go.
